Join the Library
If you live in the Western Riverina region you can join the library for free. Please visit the library with identification and proof of address to sign up.
You can join online, just fill out your details and attend your local branch with your ID to complete the registration. Your application will expire after 30 days unless you visit your local library to collect a library card.
You can view the Western Riverina Libraries Conditions of Membership by clicking on the button below. Acceptance and abiding by these conditions is mandatory for all active library members.
Using the Library
Borrow
CDs and DVDs have a one week (7 day) loan. All other items have a three week (21 day) loan. If you require an extended loan on any items please ask staff for assistance.
Return
Items loaned from any branch library can be returned at any time of the day. All branches have after hours Return chutes to return items if the library is closed.
You can return to any branch or Mobile Library.
Reserve
If you’d like an item currently on loan to someone else, you can reserve the item online, over the phone or in person at any library. When the item is available for collection at your nominated branch we will notify you by email or post.
Renew
Items can be renewed twice if not reserved by another client. You can renew your items online, over the phone or in person at any library.
Inter Library Loans

You can search other Australian libraries at http://www.trove.nla.gov.au
If the item is available at another library you can borrow it for a small fee on Interlibrary loan. Place your request over the phone or in person at any library.
Fees
$5.00 – Public libraries (excluding ACT public libraries).
$20.00 – University libraries, Specialist libraries & ACT public libraries.
Delivery time
Average delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks. When the item is available for collection we will notify you by email/post.
Lost Interlibrary loans
If an Interlibrary loan is lost you will be required to pay for its replacement. The cost of the replacement is at the discretion of the supplying library.
