What is my Username and Password?

Your username is the number on the back of your Member Card (6 digits). Your password is your date of birth entered as DDMMYYYY – for example 07031973 (7 March 1973). If after entering your password you have problems please contact the library.

Can I still borrow if I don’t have my card with me?

It is preferred that you use your card when borrowing. Some branches may make an exception if you present photo ID.

Can I borrow an item from another WRL branch?

If your local library branch does not have a particular item it may be possible to request it from another WRL branch. To do this see library staff or reserve the item online. Please note new items (newer than 6 months) may not be available for inter branch loan. You are also welcome to visit any WRL branch library to borrow or return items.

How do I renew items I have on loan?

In most cases you can renew items you have on loan, provided the item is not on reserve for another member. Items can be renewed a maximum of 2 times. You can renew your loans online through member services, by telephoning any WRL branch library.

How do I know when my items are due to be returned?

We will send a courtesy reminder via email or SMS two days before an item is due to be returned. We will send an overdue reminder notice via email, SMS or post when your items are 7 days overdue. We will send an overdue notice for 5 consecutive weeks with each notice accumulating a $1 overdue fine. If items are not returned by the final notice member borrowing will be suspended.
